Viktor flitted in and out of consciousness. Sometimes, it felt like he was burning. Other times, freezing. But no matter what, the terrible, consuming pain dominated. Sometimes he saw Jayce. Other times, Singed. He had no idea what was going on. Jayce looked terrible. He looked like he hadn't eaten or slept properly in days.
The last time Viktor woke up, droplets of tears were falling like rain onto his face. Jayce was crying above him, and Viktor could feel a gentle hand caressing his cheek.
