Summary
The Goddess is dead and the world is falling to ruin. It is the decree of the Empire that the world must be destroyed and rebuilt, yet the Church seeks salvation in the ruin and salvage in the old ways. An Emperor and an Archbishop stand at odds to decide the destiny of the world. The Emperor wields fire to burn away the old and ruinous, to use blood to change the world for the better. The Archbishop seeks to restore the peace she constructed over the hardship of man.
A mercenary turned God now stands in the middle, uncertain how best to act. Without guidance and without certainty, she is left to act on her own, unhindered and uninfluenced.
