Summary
Set somewhat post Episode 5, but prior to Episode 8. An AU with the 'Reader' entering the Circus and altering the perceptions of the adventures and functioning as a sounding board for Caine...who is rather good at not listening. Chapter 1 introduces the Reader to the Circus, and subsequent chapters will gently delve into acclimating to it. This tale will eventually have explicit content, the tags will be updated accordingly with subsequent chapters, but ultimately this is a slow burn story. Don't expect things to get intense quickly.
Episode spoiler information is marked in the story tags, please be mindful of that.

A deranged AU where a fem!lander tries to justify atrocities in the infamous Stillwell death scene and create a 'found family' that has no business existing. This is just a snippet. “What would you prefer, my dear?” Caine smiled warmly, looking down at you.
“Pink. And something soft. Maybe fur?” you suggested, breathing a sigh of relief. Either he was in a good mood right now, or you were correct about him liking non-adventure related requests. You hoped it was the latter.
He snapped, a plush pink blanket covering your bed.
“Go ahead, don’t be shy!” Caine said, pushing you over to the blanket. You grinned, keenly aware of his gaze on you as you gingerly climbed into bed.
TLDR: Reader learns that Caine is more generous than he lets on HUEHUEHEUHEHE
