Kenpachi (剣八, Sword-Eight).A title passed down to one person per generation. A title only given to the strongest humans there is. It is an iron-clad rule that there must be only one Kenpachi per generation, meaning that the predecessor must die for the killer to succeed the title. Inheriting the title means having the candidate kill the current Kenpachi in battle.
No one has been the twelfth holder of that title since decades and centuries ago when the eleventh came.
But things change.They've chosen their twelfth soon-to-be holder, in which the current eleventh and former first Kenpachi communicate with Izuku Midoriya in his dreams.
Be damned the iron-clad rule of having to kill the predecessor, they were already dead a long time ago.
They have already chosen.
