Seventeen years had passed since the initials H.J.P were carved out onto his wrist. Five years earlier, he had given up hope of ever bonding with his soulmate. His best friend had named him godfather to his soulmate, and he hadn't had the heart to refuse.
Now, as he sat rotting in his cell, having given up all hope unless, somehow, by some miracle, his godson reached his sixteenth birthday and found out the identity of his soulmate, of ever getting out of the prison. But when the jet black initials carved into his wrist began to burn and flicker, glowing bright gold, he knew something was wrong. His godson was barely twelve years old. He shouldn't be undergoing his inheritance, but he was. Something was unquestionably wrong, and he knew that he was the only one who could put an end to what his godson was suffering now.
