I mentioned to another fan how it didn't make sense that Elena couldn’t drink Damon’s blood when she was supposedly sired to him. My friend agreed and told me to fix it, so thanks for the encouragement, Rachel! This starts at the blood sharing in S4E2, but canon diverts from there. Some things change, some major plot points and bits of dialogue occur, but not the same way. The whole story is outlined and much is written, but I won't post all at once. Hope you enjoy!

Damon’s blood was everything. Warm, smooth, rich, heady, strong. Kind of like him. Except the warm part. That’s not a word most people would use to describe him, except maybe me. Because on occasion he could be very warm and thoughtful, and just so…wrong. It’s all wrong. Standing here in the bathroom at The Grill, drinking from him, his hand caressing my hair. Even just going to him for help at all. Pulling away with a gasp, I dropped his hand unceremoniously and backed away until I felt the door behind me, watching him close his fist to stop the blood from dripping while the wound healed. He looked disgustingly smug about it. No, that wasn’t it. For once it wasn’t smugness, it was satisfaction. In every sense of the word.
