Summary
Satoru doesn't survive the fight with Fushiguro Toji. He dies, cold and alone, leaving behind only a curse with a taste for carnage. Suguru brings that curse to his lips, swallows down the remains of his best friend, his one and only. He doesn't know if it's Satoru's soul or just a mindless curse he's ingesting, but still, he can't part with it.

“I’m a kid. You can’t leave me alone. That’s unsafe.” Megumi counters, pulling the phone away from his ear. His argument might have done more to sway Suguru if his voice wasn’t so deadpan.
“I’ll leave you with the guards. They’ll look after you until your dad gets there.”
“I can’t talk to strangers.”
“What am I, then?”
“That was an emergency. Also, you’re not a stranger anymore.” Megumi blinks. “You’re Suguru.”
Suguru fights the urge to slam his head against the pole in the middle of the train carriage. Instead, he says: “Can I talk to your dad?”
Megumi loses his dad on the train, and finds a certain tall, raven-haired man instead.

“Is your dad tall, Fushiguro?” Itadori changes his train of thought.
“He is not my dad.” He outwardly cringes, “He is though, kept hitting his head on doors. He was a fucken twig then too.” It sort of hit him that Gojo was barely older than him when he took them in. Sure, he had a little help, but it was never really enough. He suddenly starts remembering differently. Gojo was always loud and obnoxious in his mind, but that wasn’t really it.
Or Megumi tells his friends about his Dad.

He takes a long drink of soda. Cold, sharp with carbonation. Satoru turns to look at him. He glows in the aggressive sun. White hair a halo around his head, making his dark glasses pop, large and strange on his face. Almost like an insect's eyes.
“Can I try your soda?” Satoru asks.
“We got the same kind.”
Satoru tilts his head, licks his lips once, twice. “Nope. Pretty sure yours is different.”
“Satoru, look.” Suguru holds up his can, points at Satoru’s. “They’re both Cola. We got them from the same rack.”
Satoru’s face twists up in a look of displeasure. He picks up his own drink, takes a sip, licks his lips twice again and shakes his head. “Well I want to try yours.”

Summary
A pointed look pierces through the expression, aimed towards Satoru when the implications of a now visibly person-sized tunnel made recognition flitter along his features.
“Are you fucking serious?” are the words that break past parted lips, the ridicule in his head slipping out verbally. The heat fogged his brain and hindered his filter. Satoru doesn't seem to mind, not with the way his eyes crinkle at the ends with amusement when he cranes his neck back to peer up toward the boy scowling down at him.
“What? Claustrophobic?”
Suguru scoffs at that.
“What are we? Moles?”
Satoru’s legs part from where he's crouched, the backs of his heels pressing together to stabilize himself. Elbows rest lazily on thighs, knees pointed out in opposite directions. The stance was comparable to a delinquent frog.
“Even better, we’re weasels.” He hums back like it was some incredibly witty thing to say, that trademark, waggish smirk easing up the corners of his lips.

Summary
This is part 2 of my series 'Janus' in which Satoru and Suguru are reborn after the events of chapter 236.
In part 1 'Drosera anglica', they found each other again and quickly rekindled their friendship and love for each other while studying to become jujutsu sorcerers. But then a mission leaves them both with near fatal injuries and a girl they were supposed to protect in the hands of violent criminals.
In part 2 we're making the transition from their 'Fuck around'-period to the 'Find out'-phase. It asks the question of how they cope with the aftermath and whether they're able to avoid the mistakes of the past. Or are they bound to be crushed by the wheels of fate yet again?

Gojo huffs out a sardonic almost-laugh, however pitiful an excuse for emotion it may be. “You’re delusional.”
“And you are sick. You’re both sick. And after all the bullshit life has put you through, I’d honestly be more surprised if you came out unscathed. But you didn’t. And I’m sorry. But you can’t just stay like this forever, Gojo. I won’t let you just continue to be miserable and think you can handle everything yourself, until one day you finally fucking break.”Gojo successfully beats Sukuna and Kenjaku, freeing Megumi and Suguru from their possession.

The other one snorts. “As if.” And with that, Suguru takes his hand and gets up, lacing their fingers together for the first time.

Summary
Something goes wrong. The crown is split during Narinder's defeat, splitting the power between him and the Lamb.
Narinder keeps a portion of his godhood, and the Lamb finds that abilities they had access to before are no longer possible: Healing is cut short. Powers are halved. And there is a very real chance of perma-death, as the ability to resurrect is not possible without full power, and the God of Death is not cooperative.
Afterlife and Purgatory are not options either. Dying means erasure. Gone.Lambert knows Narinder grows stronger by the day, crown or not, and yet keeps him spared as they try to figure out how to complete their own goals. Narinder vows vengeance on the lamb for usurping him. After a few unsuccessful murder attempts, he's in for the long haul. It is only a matter of time before the Lamb's guard is down before he can strike, and The One Who Waits is very patient. When a mystic being demands they save the bishops from purgatory, an alliance is in order.
Except...the lamb's actions and their presence begin to unlock abilities within the God of Death he didn't know he had prior to his imprisonment, among other fickle things, like emotions. The prophecy didn't warn him of that part.
