Summary
In the year 2012, nearly one thousand people in the titular Cream City disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Only one person involved in the incident has been found: College dropout Hue Chavez, in a comatose state. Hue awakens after five years and discovers The Federation of the Feli Saturni, an advanced race of aliens, has joined forces with the Eagle Land government to investigate the mass disappearance. One of the Federation members, K, tasks Hue with recovering their memories of the incident, in exchange for his protection against unknown, otherworldly threats. As Hue pieces together their role in the disappearance, along with recovering their own fractured memories, even greater mysteries begin to unfold.

Summary
The psychiatrist at work said it’s survivor’s guilt and that might be part of it, but mostly it’s that she watched someone die choking on his own blood and spitting out his own gnarled teeth. Lee doesn’t even know what she expected out of that, why she went to see him all alone, only that an inescapable pull in her gut drove her down to the holding cell and the way he had smiled at her hurt. He looked at her like she mattered to him, like he cared about her. Maybe even loved her, in some way.
