Tobirama has become immensely fond of Mito over the course of their quest. The high priestess of the Sage is fiercely intelligent, an expert with divine magics, and well composed in tense situations. (Including but not limited to, it seems, the prospect of the release of an evil goddess of illusion intent on devouring their plane of reality.)
In practical terms, anyone capable of devolving the normally unflappable Touka into flushed stammering has earned Tobirama’s respect.
This conversation, however, Tobirama would be fine with skipping.

When Tobirama is kidnapped for ransom, Madara is confused. Don't mistake him, he is also irritated but the confusion is more prominent. Especially since Hashirama insists on dragging him along to rescue Tobirama. Tobirama is a graceful and deadly fighter, he should not need rescue – hence Madara's confusion. Only hints are adding up to the fact that he is clearly missing something critical, which increases his confusion. Madara intends to discover what he is missing even if it means going along with Hashirama's half-cocked rescue charge.
