They all laughed one more time, before Coran clapped his hands and reminded them of the mission at hand. He’d looked at all of them fondly, like a proud uncle watching them all finally find their groove.
They’d been good. They’d all been connected, focused, and altogether, strong as a team.
And then Lance hadn’t come back from Beta Traz.
Or, Lance is captured by the Galra while escaping Beta Traz, and he's not the same when he's found again.
They're not sure if he ever will be.

Summary
It’s a stupid thing to be worrying about, really. Lance is a romantic at heart and spent the better part of summer break before his first year of college fantasizing about all of the different ways he could meet someone. They could drive him home after a late class (dumb), bump into him and drop all their papers (dumber), or hit Lance with their car (dumbest).
And now, with only a year left and still lacking in any romantic trips to the emergency room, Lance thinks he should probably give it up and hit the dating apps. Or, at the least, do more at bars than dance a little with Hunk and steal drinks from Pidge.
Lance laments over the fact that despite entering his fourth and final year of college, he hasn’t had a single meet-cute. He’s ready to admit that yes, okay, maybe they only exist in movies, and move on.
Then, he meets Keith.
And now he’s having too many.
