After Ochako keeps staring at the lamp, Himiko gets concerned. Himiko also starts staring accidentally, and both appear back when they were teenagers, specifically at the main turning point of their lives.
Except, instead of both of them surviving the war, Himiko follows the dream she's been having occasionally.
Or; an entirely angst-filled oneshot where I make Himiko's canonical death as impactful(*cough* horrible) as I want it to be.

Summary
Midoriya Izuku has a quirk called Roots. Said quirk has never really been... Happy. With anyone. With the exception of Izuku, of course. They attack anyone who tries touching him, which causes some obvious problems. How will the roots finally be tamed? Will they, at all? Guess all you can do is read and find out.
(And who knows, maybe they aren't tamed, but burned.)
Warning - Probably discontinued. There's a chance I'll keep writing but.. I doubt it.
