Summary
The Boston Raiders don't know who Jane is.
They only know she lives in Montreal, Ilya sees her whenever they're in town, and she seems to be the only person on earth capable of keeping Ilya Rozanov on a leash.
After two weeks of bag skates, Marlow decides they're desperate enough to call her.
He probably should've asked Ilya who Jane actually was first.

Summary
In the early hours of Saturday, the Hockey world was ablaze with the news that Ilya Rozanov was dead. Killed in a tragic car accident leaving behind a slew of devastated fans and a grieving husband still reeling in shock.
The news also came as an incredible shock to Ilya when he awoke that same day, hungover and bleary, but very much alive.

Summary
“No offense,” Cliff says, bluntly, “But I’ve never seen you before. If you’re Rozy’s friend, then why haven’t we ever met you? I don’t think- I’ve never even heard your name before.”
He’s not prepared for the twist of grief, an expression so wild and an ache so deep Cliff almost recoils– before Shane’s face smooths out again and he returns to looking empty.
“It’s complicated,” he says, finally.
—
When Rozy takes a hard hit in Montreal and doesn’t get back up, Cliff expects he’ll be the only one in the waiting room.
He isn’t.
Or: cliff marleau has 2.5 confusing conversations, witnesses a generational crashout, and tries his best; not in that particular order.

Summary
“I am going to tell you something, and I need you to just listen and let me speak ok?”
“Yeah sure brother whatever you need.” Cliff responded skeptically.
“This doesn't leave this room alright Marly? This stays between you and me.”
Okay now Cliff needed to know every detail immediately.
Or
Cliff Marleau figures out his best friends closest kept secret through a conversation that he was by no means prepared to have.
