Summary
After the Council of Elrond, Aragorn and Legolas are forced to confront the old bitterness still lingering between them. Grievances they thought buried rise to the surface; jealousy slips through the cracks they’ve both tried to seal. But then Legolas offers a confession—just enough to start mending what was broken. It isn’t peace, not yet. But it’s something worth holding onto.
The hardest battles aren’t always the ones fought with steel.Bookmarked by Snowglacier

Summary
“The Eldar would beget children only in days of happiness and peace if they could."
JRR TolkienMirkwood is fraught with war when its Queen falls pregnant; its citizens are too busy on the frontline to raise a child, and so the elfling grows up to become untamed. Unsuited for Mirkwood society, Legolas is sent on patrol to the edge of the Kingdom, isolated and fated to live out his years alone.
A chance meeting with a ranger may change that fate.

Summary
Fool of a Took seemed to be the enduring muttered mantra of the Fellowship, at least where Gandalf was concerned. It was entirely possible that the others thought it in their hearts– certainly not his fellow hobbits, but perhaps the Men that were sworn to follow Frodo into fire and flames, the grumbling dwarf, and the strange elf who spoke rarely and blinked even less. Pippin tried not to let it prick his heart: he knew this quest was something far beyond his understanding of the world, knew that truly realizing it would warp his brain in ways that could not be undone, knew that, after all, he was just a simple hobbit who had quite literally stumbled into saving the world. He could quell the pinpricks with those thoughts.
Before Moria, of course. Before knocking the helmet down the well. Before the balrog.
(In which Legolas has a bad time, Pippin has even worse time, and the fellowship finally gets around to talking about the balrog incident, though not before Legolas and Pippin run into trouble in the woods.)

Summary
His father named him in the traditions of their people, the proud hill tribes of the Hawk and Gryphon who worshipped the Silver Lady of the night and roamed the purpled heather of the moorlands on boar-back since before the first magic word was spoken. His mother, the priest-queen, called him Lissar—golden, for his shining hair, but it was not his name. Few would ever know his name, in life or in history, or even in myth.

Summary
Soul mates (and immortality) were as stupid an idea as a machine that could access memories stored in your DNA. Desmond ran away from his home to get the hell away from crazy ideas but that was before he was kidnapped by Abstergo, locked in a room, used as a one man historical re-enactment and then abruptly transferred to 'the Vault'.
Vidic's dead but Lucy is still alive to make sure Desmond makes friends with the so-called 'King of Swords', the last known living soul mate. The man that found a way to kill every other soul mate. The only trouble is the more Desmond knows, the less likely he is to make it out alive. Funny how only the megalomaniac mass murderer seems to understand that.
