Summary
Astaroth is a demon who was trapped by the Ellcrys upon the entrapment of demonkind during the Age of Faerie. He, back then, worked to help trap the demons to save the land from destruction, but also to prevent the extinction of his race at the hands of the elves. Now that the Ellcrys' magic is failing he too has been released from the Forbidding and is still determined to keep his people confined to the Forbidding to save them, so he seeks the help of the last druid remaining - Allanon.
