Continuation of Part 1.
I mean… it’s sad but very true. Very silent continuation but full with significance.
At the end they take different paths, never been a thing.
I don’t know, maybe it’s too TRUTHFUL. Speaks ab the reality: after the wound left to Pik, if he were me I would do the same. “Wolf loses fur but not the bad habits”.
As a reader u would want at the very end like: Jai accompanies Pik to the train and, differently from 5 years ago, he cries and asks Pik to remain. To give them a possibility. Firstly as Friends and slowly they became something more. New people in Pik life, love interests, that make Jai jealous and understand him a new shade of emotions he never knew how to label.
Pik of course shouldn’t give in easily but I mean: it would have been a great opportunity to give them their new start. An happy one. An occasion for both of them to leave aside the bad emotions of decades and start again, make new memories.But the truth is that is perfectly understandable their (Pik especially) ending. When a person have hurted u so much: there is no place for other memories. There is no ground where a new possibility could grow. Every time u look at them u would be reminded of the person he was (and could possibly still be cause the doubt never leaves) and how much hurted u.
Sad but yea, I understand 🥺🥹🤍.
And I’m happy I’ve read it.
It speaks ab self growth and reality of life.
It’s a story that heals a part of u: “I’m not alone in this feelings. Sometimes u cannot give a second opportunity and it’s okay anyway. Life goes on. Not everyone deserve a 2nd opportunity but me myself deserve to be happy and to take decisions that make ME feel good with myself” -
