Summary
The dead don’t return. That was the comfort. That was the rule. But this man never followed the rules.
Not mortal. Not quite alive.
Eren Jaeger.
A dead man walking. A nightmare made flesh.
And now here he was, dragged from the depths of whatever hell he'd forged for himself, as if summoned by the stray thought of Levi’s tired mind.
A tragedy, knocking. Unfolding again at his feet.
Standing on Levi’s porch. Nothing between them but breath.
Eren spoke. Not loud. Not sure. The words felt pried from a rusted cage inside his chest. “I… shouldn’t have come.”
“Yes, you shouldn’t,” Levi said simply. “But here you are. So I ask you again, Eren Jaeger… why”
“I thought that maybe… you,”
Levi knew, all at once—and not quite at all—what lived at the end of Eren's unfinished line. His heart ached both for himself and for Jaeger, or maybe for the sheer unfairness of honesty turned burden.
There was a time when Levi would have acknowledged the underlying meaning with a curt nod.
I know. I see you. I feel it too. But we are both bound to things greater than this. Take solace in knowing. It’s what I can offer.
One a privilege—lost. The other, a gift returned.

Summary
He understood in that moment that love did not choose based on logic and fit into a box the majority might have wanted to conform it to. It was not a matter of it being worthy in society’s eyes. That even if it was not tolerated by the public, you couldn’t keep denying your own feelings and at some point had to face them at least in front of yourself. He didn’t want to be alone in this, though. Not anymore. He felt like they were in this together with Jiang Yue Lou for better or for worse. That’s what his trembling heart was whispering softly into his ear.

“Welcome to Survey Corps Customer Service. My name is Levi. What can I help you with today?” a male voice announced and the second Eren’s brain processed it, all hope of being at least decently articulate went out the window.
The young man prayed that the comically undignified squeak that dared to leave his throat was concealed by the even more inelegant whizz that came out when he tried to change it mid-way into something more inconspicuous. Like a cough, perhaps. He was not doing so great on his first phone-related assignment, was he?

“E for Echo. G…” and he really tried to stop himself from spouting it. It was out of place and inappropriate, but it was out before he could bite his tongue. “For Gay,”
“I wanted to suggest G for Golf, but Gay works just fine,” Levi said rather matter of factly, but Eren could bet his beloved good old Dell desktop there was a barely held back snicker right there.

Summary
Sometimes you just get hit by this sudden realization and something changes – it may be small and not all that important. In some cases it does not only change how the next hour of your day will pass, however, but how the rest of your year and then life will go on. And more often than not you are unsuspecting, just going with the usual flow, expecting nothing more exciting than a new winter coffee special making it's grand entrance into the menu that you don't really give a shit about either way, being a hardcore tea lover.
For Levi, it was something as mundane as realizing he had left the window open and it was supposed to rain heavily in the afternoon. Then he had to take the next bus and met the Sneezing Bastard.
It all ended in blood and Levi missing his job that day. It also ended with him meeting one Eren Yeager, dubbded as the said Sneezing Bastard.

Summary
Here there was a beautiful brat who had literally fallen from the sky and into Levi's arms. Well, maybe if he were a hopeless romantic by nature, he'd say that... In reality it was more like one moment he was tending to the garden at the back of his apartment building, only to be suddenly pinned to the ground with a mysterious brat in the next. And it certainly wasn't all that pleasant.
Eren simply claimed he was his new neighbour and that was a cleaning accident. Who would have thought anybody aside from Levi could be so tenacious when clean windows were concerned? Still, he fell...

Levi always thought that his happiness was his business. And if he wasn't that happy? Well... Tough luck, right? Unless, there was somebody who thought differently?
[There were those things called distractions, though, that had the potential to take my head off of things. And some of them did. Quite spectacularly at that. Like, right now... Why was there an unknown to me brat hiding behind my back trying to use me as a human shield against a very severe looking girl with Asian features? A girl I didn't know as well, might I add...]

Levi has a problem. A grave problem, as far as his pride and masculinity is concerned. And it just so happens that Eren has to be ten years younger than him to boot―another thing to add to the list of his dilemmas. All in all, it's simply hard to face and bare with the fact that he can't get an erection when it matters and it's killing him... His only thirty-five, dammit!
