Summary
Arin dissociated. He did it a lot as a child, due to a traumatic incident.
It got better over time. He grew, found ways to cope, people to talk to. Then the mergequakes started. He met Sora. The dissociation started again. Maybe it was to deal with the stress of being separated from his family, or the stress of reality ripping a part in general. Sora helped him cope, he helped her. Then they met Lloyd.
By that time, he didn't dissociate much anymore, or knew the triggers and ways to tell it was going to happen. He didn't tell Lloyd. Maybe it was because he didn't want to be seen as wrong or weak or not worth training just because of something he now has control over! Sure- he is still set off sometimes, and has to leave training or meetings randomly because he can feel the grey curling around his mind. The grey. The thing that took him when he couldn't handle reality. -
