Summary
“Ilya, what are we gonna do?” Shane says.
Ilya finishes whatever he has been doing on his phone, and tosses it gently to the bed beside him. He crosses the room to Shane, stands in front of him, squeezes into his shoulders with his big hands, rubbing them like he means to warm them up.
“Looks like we will have a little vacation,” he says, with a big obnoxious grin.
Boston and Montreal are sent to Paris to play against each other in an exhibition series in January 2017. Ilya and Shane decide to stay in Paris for one more night. Just one more night, so they can talk. Maybe finally understand each other.
They aren't expecting a volcano to erupt in Iceland and close all the airspace in Europe, leaving them stranded there. Together.

Summary
Alternate Universe where Shane's storyline is the same but Ilya never played hockey and is instead an OnlyFans content creator. Basically, a way to explore what would've happened to Shane had he never received the emotional and physical (and maybe a little toxic) safety net that Ilya offered him.
AKA I wanna explore Sad!Shane cause I don't feel like we talk about it enough! But also smut. And more importantly, smut that drives plot. Let's strap in, ladies(and gays and theys).

Summary
“I am Russian, not Canadian.”
Shane raises up onto his elbow and looks, hard, at this man he loves. “You could be. Canadian, that is. If you wanted to.”
Ilya’s gaze back is searching. Shane doesn’t know what he’s looking for, but then Ilya says, “Loyalty is important in hockey.”
Stuck between a mother country that doesn’t want him and an adopted country in which he feels foreign, international hockey remains complicated for Ilya. An open, festering wound.

Summary
Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov got married in secret and for two whole years, they lived their life quietly.
They broke apart quietly, too.
The worst part is that none of it feels right. Not their continued rivalry on the ice, not the divorce papers on Shane’s table, and definitely not the idea of saying goodbye. There are too many wounds untouched, too many things left unsaid, and too much love between them still.
