    (Sorry for the sad summary, I can't write one to save my life lol)

    So there's should be nothing different about this Lan Wangji assignment, except he's a bigger target than he's ever been working with, leader of a triad himself.

    In order to appease the Wen, Yu Ziyuan cuts off Wei Wuxian's hand - in order to keep the supervisory office out of Lotus Pier, she hands him over to the Wen as a prisoner. In a desperate attempt to save his brother, Jiang Cheng teams up with Lan Wangji to plot a rescue - but what they don't realise is that whether they succeed or fail, their worlds will never be the same again.

    An eventual fix-it featuring most of the cast, a lot of hurt/comfort, and a promised happy ending!

    “We should move, Wei Ying.” Lan Zhan stood, the last vestiges of sunlight disappearing over the horizon. The cold was settling in, night has fallen, they had dallied along the road long enough.

    And Wei Ying still couldn’t move.

    “Ah – hahaha, are you sure, Lan Zhan?” Practice was the only reason why Wei Ying was able to avoid wincing as he shifted position. “We can stay a bit longer – the town isn’t that far off.”

    But Wei Ying had forgotten, this Lan Zhan was different. This Lan Zhan was not the same one that Wei Ying met all those years ago. This Lan Zhan knows him.

    “Wei Ying,” he knelt down, that damned, beautiful face pinning him in place. “What’s wrong? Are you in pain?”

     

    Or: Without the mystery of the sword spirit and the plots of Jin Guangyao to keep them distracted, Wei Ying struggles with keeping his other secrets from Lan Zhan.

    Losing his golden core was only the tip of the iceberg.
