Izuku Todoroki knows what he was made for. He's not as important as his brother, Shoto, but he has a quirk that's powerful in its own right. This means he can't be ignored.
He wishes he could be ignored. Like Natsuo, like Fuyumi, wishes he could run, hide, be put away like mom. Wishes he could pretend to die like Touya.
Izuku is cold, so, so cold. It's daunting, frightening. He wants to just burn. Burn like Touya. Burn like Shoto. Burn like Endeavor. Burn like fire.
Izuku is going to be a hero. He'll protect, save, fight, possibly die. He's going to be a hero like Shoto will be. Like Shoto actually wants to be. Like they were made to be.
Izuku isn't Shoto.
Izuku doesn't want to be a hero.

He yelped in surprise- just as his headache began to worsen and his limbs began to feel numb. "DEKU!" Katsuki exclaimed, catching the green haired boy before he could fall.
"What's going on?!" Aizawa's voice demanded over the phone.
Dragging Izuku into the cover of darkness, Katsuki examined The dart that was buried in his back. "The nerd got shot!"

Summary
It is mating season, a time where omegas gather up the courage to ask alphas to be their partners during their heats. Typically, an omega would give the alpha they're interested in a handwritten letter. It is not the other way around, which is why when Izuku finds a letter in his locker during this season he knows for absolute sure that it is a mistake.

“You’re Shouto Todoroki.” Izuku says stupidly.
Shouto nods his head slowly at him, “I am and you’re Izuku Midoriya.”
Shouto Todoroki…knows his name. Shouto Todoroki…THE SHOUTO TODOROKI KNOWS HIS MOTHERFUCKING NAME! Izuku feels like he can die and ascend to heaven right now. He can see the bright light and angels singing him over towards the promised lands. He could totally go to heaven without a single regret since the alpha of his dreams knows his name.
“Mind telling me what you were doing here with someone else when I already laid claim on you?” Shouto asks, his tone less than amusing.
“Whaaa?”

Summary
When Midoriya Izuku is younger, he’s assigned a pen pal to exchange letters with for a year. Instead, his pen pal continues to follow him through his years of middle school and all the way to his time at U.A. in the form of emails. His pen pal may be a bit blunt sometimes, but overall, he's a nice and completely normal person.
Aizawa Shouta has only ever followed along with his pen pal's troublesome adventures first through his handwritten letters, then through his emails. Nothing has changed when he discovers that his pen pal is going to be one of his students in the upcoming school year. Nothing has changed.
