    Buck wasn’t prepared for that. He was prepared for anger at leaving the way he did, and appreciation for bringing his son home. He wasn’t prepared for Eddie to question his motive, and he wasn’t prepared to answer.

    “Eddie-” Buck started.

    “Why did you do all of that?”

    Buck quickly scrambled his mind for an answer that wasn’t ‘because I love you’ and ‘the thought of you leaving made me want to die’, his mind only supplying the other facts of the situation.

    The best way to keep Eddie (the recently identified love of his life) from leaving him for Texas, is to bring Christopher back to L.A. Facing a few weeks off work following a brief kidnapping, Buck leaves for Texas without telling anyone. The mission? Bring Christopher home. Will Buck be successful?
