She watched as they crossed over the small bridge towards Link's house. They'd been traveling around Hyrule since she was freed. It felt strange returning to an unfamiliar village instead of the castle. While she was definitely grateful that their traveling had ended, it scared her.
It's not that she was worried about sharing a house with him, it was that traveling with him was familiar. They'd traveled around Hyrule hundreds of times before the calamity. He always accompanied her on trips to the springs and to meet with the other champions. While they had shared tents, only when it was particularly cold or windy. They generally had space for themselves. The nature of traveling was that if they needed a brief moment alone they could simply walk away from one another. She could read by the stables and he could go hunt. They were never far from each other but there was a certain level of personal space that shrunk when you shared a house.

Summary
Link, a landowner from Faron, follows the ancient Zonai custom of allowing those in need to follow after the harvesters in his fields and take whatever is left behind.
When his distant relative, Sonia, arrives back in Faron with her widowed daughter-in-law, Link does not hesitate to provide aid to the two of them in their troubles.
What he does not expect is for the younger widow, Zelda, to be so resilient. And beguiling. And intelligent. And beautiful.
Perhaps a little extra generosity can go both ways.

Everyone knew that there was no love lost between Princess Zelda and her appointed knight. It seemed that every day there was a new rumor being spread about the various mistreatments the poor man had been forced to endure at the hands at the Princess. One maid even swore that she saw the Princess strike her knight across the face while he was kneeling before her in a secluded corner of the castle. That seemed a bit far fetched, everyone thought, and concluded that the woman must be embellishing some details. She probably just saw the Princess lose her temper and lash out at her knight. After all, why would the Princess drag her knight to some unknown corner of the castle when she had other things to do? It had gotten to the point where he was offered a transfer, but he’d refused. Honor bound to his position no doubt..
Still it was remarkable that the man took everything the Princess gave him without complaint. His stoicism and sense of duty knew no bounds, it seemed.
