“I have to really look at the budget,” she finally says. “I can take leave from NOAA, but it’ll be unpaid. I’m hoping I can sublet my apartment so I break even on that. And I have to figure out what I can pay you and the crew. I wish the polymer wasn’t so damn expensive,” she mutters. “But it is what it is, I guess.”
“We’ll figure it out,” he promises. How, he’s not exactly sure. But if Kate’s coming back, Tyler’s going to make sure she can do this, one way or another. Maybe he hasn't known her that long, in the grand scheme of things, but there’s something about this that he knows is important. And this project is important to her, maybe more than anything else, so of course he’s going to do everything in his power to make sure she succeeds.

Tyler Owens was feeling pretty good with his life: he'd built a career doing something he loved and was able to help people. He knew the tornado outbreak in Oklahoma would be life-changing for people. He hadn't expected to find himself chasing a storm of a woman too, yet as Tyler was telling her about how mesmerized he was seeing his first tornado, he realized he'd felt that way just a short time before sitting, watching Kate. Mesmerized, chasing what you feel...Tyler would chase this woman into any storm.
