Really bad, characters treat a human like a after thought, constantly calling him 'the human' without even a sir, getting annoyed at what he does. Even blatantly offending him, calling him slow, frail, weak. It is honestly incredible just how out of character the author made them -

A more advanced humanity managed to push back against the Red Eyes but only succeeded in delaying the inevitable. The extra time they bought was used for another attempt to preserve humanity. Master Engineer Mark Blumenthal emerges in a broken world thousands of years into the future. He decides to repair and rebuild the world at his own expense. He knows how to fix something that's broken. Fixing someone is a bit beyond him. If only the androids would let him work in peace.
