Summary
With Cas in the Empty, Dean is forced to take another look at his feelings for him. Cas was someone he’d always considered a friend, and Dean never even thought of him in that way. However, when Cas returns with no wings, and no memory of his confession, Dean thinks it’s prudent to backburner that conversation.
Everything is relatively all right (or so Dean thinks), until Sam’s caught up in a bad reaction to a spell, and Dean and Cas are forced to confront their feelings for each other while they rush to rescue a certain Samsel in distress. There’s also the fact that everything Jack touches seems to die, but hey, Dean can only handle one problem at a time, and that is not his fault.

When Castiel Novak tells him, "I would like you to meet Grace; she's my beloved, and I would like you two to become acquainted," it's by far the weirdest damned thing Dean's ever heard on a third date. Or any date. So yeah, Dean stops returning Castiel's calls after that.
At least until Charlie makes him realize that he might be missing an extremely obvious explanation here.

A piece of rebar to the heart wasn't really the way Dean had planned to go out, but these things happen. It's over now; everything's over, and now he's in Heaven. It's a beautiful Heavenly day, on a beautiful Heavenly road, and there's even a Heavenly cassette tape playing a perfect Heavenly song. The last war is over; they won it all, victorious at last, and now all Dean wants to do is drive.

Summary
Life in the Men of Letters bunker had settled into a normal routine, if you could call anything about two supernatural hunters, a prophet of the Lord and a fallen angel sharing a secret society underground bunker normal. Man, thought Dean, that sounds more like the beginning of a bad joke than the strangeness that was his life.
Things only get stranger when Charlie tells the boys that she has found them a case - there is a haunting on the set of the Supernatural movie. Yes, Chuck's books are being turned into a movie and Sam, Dean and Castiel are none too happy about their lives being twisted into a movie for entertainment. They are even more surprised about some of the liberties taken with their story. And to make matters even worse, the Ghostfacers are already on the case!
