Ed steps toward the men’s room, gun at the ready, but he’s stopped by the sound of whistling. Whistling, of all things! The fancy party this guy’s attending is getting robbed at gunpoint, and he’s humming a little fuckin’ tune in there! Ed holsters his gun and draws a knife, ready for close-combat with whatever fucking lunatic is about to emerge from the bathroom, and then—
The man steps out, and his breath catches in his throat.
Six months have passed, and time (mostly) heals all wounds. Running into each other at a party rips them open again.

Summary
Ed hits the floor of the brig hard, the cell door slamming shut with a clank behind him.
He groans, clutching at his side where it smacked onto the concrete, right around his healing stab wound from Stede. Fuck, that hurt. The floor is damp with mold and smells of piss, so he quickly drags himself onto his elbows, squinting through the darkness as a deep, raspy chuckle rumbles from the shadows. Chains rattle.
“Well, well, well," Calico Jack drawls. "Looks like we’re really in it now, huh?”
AKA: Canon divergence. Badminton captures Blackbeard instead of Stede. Stede won't let him go so easily.

Summary
Stede is an English Naval Captain who is tasked with bringing the legendary pirate Blackbeard to justice once and for all. Ed and Stede meet in the ensuing battle, and Ed brings the mortally-injured Stede back to his ship to save his life. When Stede finally awakes and discovers that most of his crew didn't survive, he's devastated and enraged at Blackbeard. Ed's fascination with Stede only grows over the following days. He wants Stede to like him, so he decides to pretend he's just "Ed," a member of Blackbeard's crew, keeping his true identity secret.

“Oh, you look as pretty as a princess,” Dazai coos, delicately swiping a brilliant red hue onto Chuuya’s lips. “You should dress like this more often.”
“I’m sure you’d love that. Is this something from one of your fantasies?” Chuuya scoffs.
“Well, I can’t say there haven’t been a few that have started out this way,” Dazai murmurs, and Chuuya’s breathing stutters. He goes tense under their hands, and he cuts his gaze away, and Dazai is certain that under all that makeup an embarrassed flush is climbing up his face.
Dazai can’t help but laugh.
or, why put only one of them in a dress when they can both be? the one where dazai and chuuya both go undercover for a mission, and it really does all work out.

When the pain clears, Dazai is frowning softly down at him. His gaze is thoughtful, contemplative, and his hair hangs over his forehead and cheeks loosely, a bit longer now. It makes his expression harder to read than usual.
“Why didn’t we ever date?”
