“Tell me you'll stay.” Rebecca’s eyes stay closed, question quiet in the hollow of Ted's throat. Beard can feel it rumble through Ted's lungs, like it doesn't matter which of them has the reply. He squeezes his hand, just in case there's any room for doubt left, closing the space between them.
"Flats are boxed," he murmurs.
Ted laughs, chuckle full of honey sweet light, petals floating on down. Maybe he's just real tired. He can rest now.
“Pretty sure we're not welcome back anyhow.”

“I ain't gonna let him touch you,” Eliot growls, deeper than usual, voice still gritty with sleep. He glances to the open bathroom door, pinning his gaze there. “Don't worry about it, Hardison.”
