Summary
Late nights like these where his hand's hurt so bad the gloves didn't help were not a foreign concept to Rudo. What made this night particularly hard for the young teen was the absence of Regto. He never planned for not having Regto there to help him through the worst of it, and Rudo wasn't sure what his subconscious would do in order to get the help he needed, but refused to ask for.

Summary
‘Pretty’ was never a word Rudo would have associated with himself. Pretty was for precious things, shiny things. Things you cared about and didn’t want to get broken. Delicate in the way that made you hesitant to hold, only to end up dirtying with your hands. Chiwa was pretty in that way. Rudo never knew how to handle her without fearing he’d break the fragile thing they’d cultivated on the Sphere. But whenever he’d try and be careful, he’d always managed to make things messy and ugly. He was a bad, ugly thing that no one but Regto wanted.
Not even Chiwa, it turns out.
He never understood the appeal. He still doesn’t. It all seemed so stupid. Pointless. But seeing someone he actually sort of cares about care makes him want to. If not understand, then to know. He wants to know more about what people care about.
