Octolings can get...possessive.
Inklings and octolings were extremely similar. They were so similar that some would assume they were identical. Even members of each species would forget that there were some key differences.
Octolings got very possessive over things they like, objects, music, and other octolings or inklings. Shiver knew she was starting to get possessive of her group mates, but did not realize how possessive she was until she ‘met the parents.’
