Not when Lighter stops mid-fight, knuckles bloody, just to send Wise a reply like it can’t wait another second.

With the System telling him to help the protagonist reach a happy ending, who else could he be but the info-dumping NPC? And with Luo Binghe, who was too much of a pitiful little-brother character to be one of the male leads, lending him a hand, they were going to do what they could to support the heroine on her path towards romance!
Or: Someone who transmigrates as Ming Fan misunderstands the genre of the story and who the protagonist is. Probably for the best, anyway.
