On the Xianzhou, most still believe in the gods of the Celestial Realm watching over them.
They say that the gods of life and rebirth are bound by their own principles.
Life is transitory, and so is the position as the God of Life.
They say that the reason of these deaths is the Lord of all Evil, the God of Death himself: Lord Ren.But Dan Heng never believed in any of that.
These deities never even revealed themselves. So why bother believing in them at all?Yet, despite his belief in the non-existence of the gods, Dan Heng finds himself involved in the realm of the divine, shattering his view of the world.
Accepting his newfound duty also means to question everything once more.
Or: Dan Heng becomes the new God of Life and has to adapt to his new duties in the Celestial Realm. While he tries to stick to General Jing Yuan, he can't help but be drawn to the mysterious God of Death, Lord Ren.

And with Luo Binghe, who was too much of a pitiful little-brother character to be one of the male leads, lending him a hand, they were going to do what they could to support the heroine on her path towards romance!
Or: Someone who transmigrates as Ming Fan misunderstands the genre of the story and who the protagonist is. Probably for the best, anyway.

"Nobody's seen a lionfish species in centuries, and now we got two in our lap. One of which is very sociable. The only compatible breeder is the shark," he explained before taking a long drag and puffing out the smoke. "Besides, he's the only one that brute might not kill if Typhoon likes him."
