Summary
Strange things are going on in Gotham: A series of crimes linked only by a sentence uttered. A drug that no one seems to be selling, but lots of people are taking. An old enemy reborn, or someone pretending to be him. Graffiti that can't be photographed by normal means. Bartenders disappearing without a trace. John Constantine is also there.
Danny wants nothing to do with any of it. He just wants to sell burgers and survive. Actually, he'd like to go home again, but since that isn't possible, he'll stick with burgers.
Gotham's vigilante's have other plans.
This is why Danny doesn't do favors.

Summary
Danny is just trying to survive his shitty afterlife in peace at this point. He was forced to leave his home dimension because the anti-ghost sentiments spiraled out of control, and before he knew it, nukes destroyed or poisoned everything and he was the only one still alive. To avoid becoming someone like Dan, he asks Clockwork to send him somewhere he can heal as he grieves.
Gotham is not what he expects. The city spirit is tearing itself apart and Danny doesn't know how to help. Danny may have had a panic attack when he notices the changes to both of his forms and the colour difference of ectoplasm in this dimension, but on a humorous note, he finds out that the locals think he's a vampire. He figures that it's close enough to true and doesn't correct them.
It's all fun and games til the local vigilantes find out about him.

This is loosely based off of someone else's au where Lady Gotham makes ectoplasm red to fuck with Danny and my own post of Danny's forms swopping hair colour as Danny's human hair grays out with age and/or stress. -
