Summary
"Oh, Zuzu, save the diplomatic groveling," Azula interrupted, standing up. She smoothed the front of her silk robes, her golden eyes glittering with a sudden, dangerous spark of life that had been missing for six years. "It's brilliant. It's the most hilarious, desperate thing you've ever done."
"So... you accept?" Zuko asked, blinking in surprise.
"Accept?" Azula stepped toward him, snatching the scroll from his hands. She unrolled it, her eyes scanning the heavy calligraphy. A political marriage. A permanent relocation to Republic City. An estate of her own. Immunity from the Fire Nation tribunals. A position of absolute, unassailable relevance at the right hand of the most powerful figure in the world.
"I have been rotting in this palace for six years, Zuko," Azula said, her voice dropping to a sharp, deadly whisper. "I would marry a platypus-bear if it got me out of this cage. Tell the monk I said yes."

Summary
"Tagah is not a fool," Ozai said softly, leaning back in his leather chair. "He knows what we do to weakened companies. He is securing his green patents with a bloodline guarantee. The press release goes out Monday morning. You are marrying his son."
The air vanished from Azula’s lungs. The buzzing of the servers seemed to deafen her. She stared at her father, waiting for the punchline of a joke he was entirely incapable of making.

Summary
"He wants revenge!" she hissed, gripping the bars. "He is an Alpha, Zuko! They are all the same! He doesn't want to protect me; he wants to break me. He wants to drag the great Princess Azula back to his island, put his mark on my neck, and parade me in front of his little peasant friends as his subservient trophy! He wants to force me to my knees and make me submit every time I look at him! It's psychological torture!"
"Aang isn't like that!" Zuko yelled back, genuinely horrified by the twisted labyrinth of his sister's mind. "He's a monk! He doesn't care about dominance or revenge! He just wants to save your life!"

Or did he?
It takes Azula less than a week as a tribute in the Avatar's Harem to start doubting the truths of the new world.
