Summary
Dazai never liked the theatrics it required to be soothing when it came to advice, whenever he actually bothered to tell people how to do anything he was blunt like a dull axe that cut you painful and deep. Perhaps it was the fact that the topic of survival and how to properly do it was foreign to him, so foreign he rarely opened up to give advice.
That is, until it hits close to home on an August afternoon when he fishes Atsushi out of the river.

Summary
Where humans are assigned a guardian angel at birth, Dazai's immediately suspicious when he's assigned to Chuuya belatedly for some unknown reason. As for the previous guardian? Disappeared without a trace, as if they never existed. Whispers circulate, but the truth is lost to time.
All that's left is for Dazai to uncover that truth and immortalize it in history before another messenger meets the same fate.

Summary
Dazai moved Atsushi in his lap as he examined the condition of his injuries. Atsushi was losing a lot of blood. Dazai pressed his palm against the wound desperately trying to stop the bleeding. Atsushi had never seen such a terrified expression on his mentor's face before.
or: Atsushi gets in a near-death situation, Dazai confesses out of fear of loosing Atsushi.
