Summary
Athena smiled and removed her helmet, placing it and her spear against the wood. "Hello, Telemachus. Do you know who I am?"
He studied her, a little shy at first. After a minute of silence, he took courage. "Athena? The goddess of wisdom?"
"Exactly." She sat right next to him.
***
He had stepped away, and Polites had looked away for a moment. When he looked at him again, Odysseus looked...
"Aren't you tired, Polites? Of this.""Of being rejected?" he asked.
Odysseus nodded.
"Yes. I never know how you'll react, and once upon a time, everyone knew how you reacted to me. But there are no other options."
Eurylochus had told him to leave him behind. Eurylochus was stronger than him: Polites couldn't do it. Polites didn't want to go any further, he didn't want to lose anyone.

Summary
Odysseus was given charge of Neoptolemus and while he was unsure at first, he still accepted the role. He would do whatever it took to turn the 12-year-old into someone who could win the war he was meant to in whatever way it took, regardless of what anyone else might say.

Summary

She spent so long pretending she was a man that she still referes to herself as a man
Her eye colour changing is a thing so the colour will be mentioned a lot like an odd amountThis is NOT accurate to actual lore!!!

Antinous's life was gradually beginning to improve. Of course, it was difficult to avoid squabbles with the royal family, but he managed. And as long as Telemachus was around, he was ready for anything, even to play the model nobleman in front of his guests—right?

Summary
Polites nodded. "I... I didn't think Achilles would leave you here."
Patroclus smiled slightly. "He didn't. He'll come back. We always find each other. If he can't come to me, I'll go to him."
***
Patroclus, a prisoner of the Trojans, misses Achilles. It doesn't help that Achilles' son is there too.
Or: a small deleted scene where Patroclus loves Achilles, Neoptolemus is confused, Polites is just trying to do the right thing.

Summary
"Crouched down, twisting the glass in her fingers, she realized that, until this very moment, the thought that she might need a weapon hadn’t even crossed her mind. But it made sense, didn’t it? When face-eating cannibals roamed the streets, you wouldn’t want to be caught off guard."

In the span of a few weeks, Europe is taken over by a new disease, which makes those infected by it violent, impulsive — and hungry. When their town finally collapses, Penelope, Odysseus and Telemachus have to find a way to reunite with each other and escape back to Ithaca, one of the last safe places in Greece, before their only ride sails off and leaves them for dead.

Summary
Odysseus had lots of responsibilities in the war as one of the kings and generals and one of those responsibilities was taking care of the 12 year old son of Achilles Pyrrhus, or Neoptolemus as Odysseus preferred to call him . It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.
Especially when taking care of the boy helped both of them feel better about everything they had to deal with. -

Summary
"You are the only source of joy, of light, among all the suitors! Honestly I dont think its would have kept my sanity among all of these vulgar men if it weren't for you! You truly are my only sunshine in these stormy times" Ariadne smiled, playing with his hair as his head rested on her lap, humming contentedly.
"I may be light, but you are much more! You set my heart aflame, consuming me! I may be the light, but you outshine me in every way!" Leodes smiled, eyes shining with admiration.
She flicked his forehead, a small smile tugging at her lips as she kissed his cheek. "And I was starting to wonder if you were truly a priest of apollo"
OR
The young daughter of Odysseus has to navigate life without a father, and with powerhungry depraved men stalking the halls of what should have been HER home. But she always seemed to see the light at the end of the tunnel, much to telemachus' frustration. This time, the light at the end of the tunnel seemed to be the more than willing arms of leodes, the nicest suitor.

That comes true once they reach the cave of the Cyclops.

Summary
Neoptolemus, son of Achilles, was not expecting to have gotten attached to Telemachus, son of Odysseus. He certainly wasn’t expecting to instantly become infatuated with him the moment he made eye contact with the prince he had only heard things about over ten years before from Odysseus during the war. So when it turned out that the prince of Ithaca was also attracted to him, he knew he was more lucky than he had any right to be.
He could only pray that he’d continue to be so lucky when Telemachus found out exactly what kind of man he is.
Or rather, in what kind of ways he wasn’t a man. -

Summary
Ody had thrown an object and Polites had clumsily caught it.
"What is this supposed to be?""Enlargers!" Ody had said, coming closer. He was smiling as if it were his birthday.
"Enlargers?"
Seeing his confusion, Odysseus had picked up the object and placed it on his face. It was heavy on his nose, perhaps because of the glass. His friend's face was bright as it always was when he could use an idea of his own.
"Okay, try looking at that tree. What fruit do you see?"***
He felt his grip on his weapon weaken as Polites reached out. He was armed too but did not seem to have any intention of drawing his sword.
"You" Neoptolemus tried to say but the word came out of his mouth like a prayer. "You..."
"Hey," Polites repeated. "I guess this madness is another one of Ody's plans, huh?"
***
Or: One day, Odysseus created glasses for Polites. Many years later, they are on opposite sides of a battlefield.

Athena’s call to action and the start of the voyage
Entry one, day one of our voyage to far-off lands. First I should probably explain how this all started.
This morning was like any other since Athena started mentoring me. I walked down to the woods, where Athena suggested we train so we don't catch the curious eyes of suitors. I had begun to wonder where she was when she appeared behind me. -

Summary
Eirenaios. Motherless son of the wise King Odysseus. Brother of the persistent prince Telemachus. His name quite literally meant peace. And while the first 11 years of his life were anything but peaceful as far as he remembered, his dad always told him that he was named that as he brought peace to crazed minds simply by existing. And for the following 10 years of his life, he did live a peaceful life. Not a normal one by any means (he knew that the often present goddess of wisdom favored his brother and pretended like he didn’t exist for a reason unbeknownst to him) but peaceful nonetheless.
Until he convinced his dad to let him join him and his brother on a simple mission to Skyros. A meeting that was nothing more than a formality.
But while wandering the halls of Neoptolemus’ palace, he ended up running into a simple concubine. One who seems to recognize him instantly, even though he had never met her before.
Because it turned out he has the same eyes as her long dead son Astyanax.
