Easily one of the best fanfics I've ever read, an amazing syncretism of Disco Elysium and Slay the Princess! Like its constituent parts, going into too much detail would be a spoiler... but suffice it to say ASpooky has nailed the overall tones and character voices of both!

Every fan of Paper Mario or the Mario & Luigi series should read this one! Sightshade has done a stellar job fleshing out their universe, and while the story's definitely on the darker side, it also still feels like it fits into the broader Mario series.
It's genuinely one of the best fanfics I've ever read, and it's downright criminal that it hasn't received more recognition! Especially since fanfics that actually make it to the finish line are a rarity, and this one is not just completed, but the finale is absolutely phenomenal!
