Summary
One could be chosen to be a member of a League in their respective region for many reasons. Some planned on it. Some did not. Plenty were kind. Several were nasty. Most of them were somewhere in-between. These are the stories behind the elites and gym leaders of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova - and how they achieved greatness. Will go in chronological order of when they received their titles.

The leagues were competitive with each other. This system was created long ago to ensure "friendly competition" so that another world region war wouldn't break out between each other like the last time. The Indigo League starts as the best. Unova's education system is nothing to joke about. Hoenn couldn't give less of a damn. Sinnoh's considered a laughingstock with nothing to lose. But as the years go by and things start to change, their competition becomes not-so-friendly. Generational trauma doesn't simply go away. It stays buried deep down, but stirs slowly, and before you know it, the five regions are like barrels of gunpowder, ready to burst.

Summary
This story takes the starting point from the events of the film "Pokémon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life".
What if the stone of life was never returned to Arceus? After the Great Rift, fear became the basis of a new civilization. In this world near people live creatures capable of controlling fire, electricity, water and the power of the mind. Some of them understand human speech. Some may even speak. But that doesn't make them safe.
The poison here really kills.
Fire burns at home.
Electricity stops the heart.
When humanity first spoke about the possibility of coexistence and friendship with these beings, the world began to change. The first pokeballs appear. Creatures get a new name - Pocket Monsters. Pokemon.And a boy named Ash comes to his senses in a forest without memory of the past - in a world where trust can kill faster than any attack.

Summary
The universe has secrets, and one of those secrets is the existence of alternate universes, each different from other. The fates from one universe accidently stumble upon a different one where the gods can have demigod children, and are surprised and infuriated at their bad treatment. They then see that even some of the gods are suffering under the rule of Zeus and decided to interfere by sending some of them to their universe where gods cannot have any demigod children so that they can be loved and cherished the way they deserve to be.
Unfortunately, our multiverse travelers did not sign up for this experience, and now are left in ancient Greece of an alien universe.
(I have not read the The Chalice of the Gods, Wrath of the Triple Goddess, and The Court of the Dead yet; so this story would not be canon compliant to it.)
