An AU where Ava was able to escape the OCS with JC on the ferry. Adriel rose from the Vatican unopposed with the help of Father Vincent and the world is thrown into chaos. Society fell and in its place is a world where electricity is non-existent, anything modern is considered obsolete, the world was forced back into near medieval times. The OCS was destroyed and those left were separated and forced into hiding. All the remains of the free world are small colonies of people throughout the continents that have managed to keep hidden from Adriel’s eye, but more fall to him everyday. There seems to be no hope in ever reclaiming free will until one day 5 years later the halo’s light begins to shine once again.
