Summary
First and foremost, this universe was originally game setting material published by White Wolf Game Studios back in the mid-Nineties. White Wolf no longer exists; their work has been continued and now published by Onyx Path Publishing. This series of stories is in no way a challenge to that universe, and I only use the background settings and realities, with perhaps a few well-known characters and events from that world. As such, this series is written to complete the stories I imagine, written and compiled over several years now in and out of the gaming world, and there is no intention whatsoever to profit from it either financially, professionally, or through reputation.
For those of you familiar with these titles and this setting, I point you to the 2nd Edition EVERYTHING.
This is a story about a cabal of remarkable individuals located in Denver, Colorado. There's a love story in the middle of it, as with most of the best tales.
And while this is written only for fun and amusement, it contains all I can put into it about learning the hardest lessons life has to offer.
Hopefully with fireballs and exciting dialogue, of course.

Summary

Sometimes, despite her best efforts, she fails in her duties. Sometimes, all of the difficulties and complications in any battle can simply be too much to overcome.
And sometimes, the universe knows this.
And sometimes, it sends someone to help.
A very brief crossover meeting between the Superpowered Sweetheart and the Oncoming Storm.
TIMELINE PLACEMENT (a necessity in many cases, especially this one):
Supergirl (TV 2015) -- Somewhere between the beginning and end of Seasons 3; a separate chapter BEFORE the presence of Reign and all the chaos loosed in the Supercorp camp. Alex is Acting Director in J'onn's J'onzz's brief, episodic absence.
Doctor Who (2005) -- Between the end of Series 6 and the beginning of Series 7; a different time prior to the events outlined in the "Pond Life" omnibus and "Asylum Of The Daleks."

In Lena Luthor’s freshman year at MIT, she took an introductory Probability and Statistics course. The syllabus consisted of rudimentary topics like probability theory, combinatorics, probability distributions, and hypothesis testing. These topics required a fundamental understanding of Set Theory which studies collections of objects and how they relate.
In general, when attempting to take sums or differences of sets, you must acknowledge whether they overlap, and where they fail to intersect.
These facts were simple to conceptualize when you were staring at circles labeled with various letters of the alphabet. They become more complex when you attempt to sum up the parts of a person, or person(s).

“This must be a mistake!” La’an groaned when Una broke the good news to her in the ready room after every other crew member had already been assigned to their new quarters. There had been less whining and protesting than expected and the chief of security didn’t have to force anyone to cooperate.
The tall Illyrian woman sitting across from her at the long conference table checked the list on her PADD for a second time, then shook her head while shooting La’an a sympathetic look. “I’m afraid it’s not. Spock’s the only one left without a temporary roommate. Oddly, no one wanted to share the quarters with him.”
La’an snorted and crossed her arms in front of her chest in defiance. “I can imagine why.”
Una looked up from her PADD and narrowed her eyes at La’an, a smirk spreading on her ruby lips. “No one else wanted to share quarters with you either,” she pointed out. “The Lower Decks all fear you would strangle them in their sleep. I’m afraid you have no other choice but to bite the bullet. You’re both adults and senior officers. I’m sure you can bunk together without killing each other. It’s only for a couple of days, remember?”
