Lucanis’ jaw tightened, his grip was so tight his knuckles whitened on the hilt of the sword. His eyes, dark and unreadable, burned into Zahir like he was searching for something, an answer, an explanation, a betrayal.
"You stand with him?" His voice was low, but the weight of it carried through the hall. The assembled Crows were silent, watching.
Zahir let out a slow breath. "I stood with you and now I’m telling you to stop."-----------
Zahir grew up in Tevinter, disguarded for being an Altus without magic, discharged from the Imperial Army for his preferences towards men... He left behind a world where standards were unreachable and built himself a life. Seeing Illario Dellamorte on his knees, shamed in front of all the Crows in Treviso for reaching for the stars... He cannot help but feel. Maybe, if he hadn't been able to let go ten years ago, he would be in a very similar place today, maybe, there can still be time for Illario to heal.
