Summary
Once upon a time is such a cliché way to begin a story, but that’s what we’re stuck with. Because this is a “once upon a time” story. Two rival brothers, now enemies, are brought together through a missing princess and a clueless prince. One such brother (the half-demon) is bent on rescuing the princess (who he is secretly in love with) from necromancing royalty, accused of kidnapping said princess. It becomes Inuyasha’s grand quest to ride forth to meet his evil brother and his wind-witch wife, and rescue the princess Kagome from a kingdom built from raising the dead. A worthy quest, right? I guess it depends. After all, history is written by the victors.

Summary
Kagome Higurashi has lived a privileged life: the best schools, the best clothes, the best of everything. Except with that privilege comes with a cost. Kagome’s parents have also always planned everything out for her, including her career: they want her, more than anything, to be a doctor.
The only problem? Kagome sucks at math, and science, and would give anything to be able to be an artist, and not a doctor, like her parents have planned.
And when she sees the handsome half-demon from the wrong side of the tracks in her art class, she realizes that there’s a way out of this life that has been mapped out for her.
She just has to convince Inuyasha Taisho to be her boyfriend for two weddings, and she’s willing to use any means necessary to do so. Including ten thousand dollars.
She just didn’t plan on crushing on him so hard.

Summary
The undead and monsters both of the bestial and human variety wander the streets looking for their next kill. To trust blindly could very well mean your death so it’s easier to not trust anybody at all even when they claim all they want to do is help. The smartest thing to do was to look out for number one, question everything, and always, always watch your back. Evil lurked around every corner, hid in every brush, and nowhere was safe anymore.
