ENCYCLOPEDIA - La Fontaine is an underground homosexual club that was established back in ‘01, even before the legalization of homosexuality. It is one of the oldest to still exist, only spared by the bombs of the Revolution by sheer luck.
SHIVERS - IT WAS NOT LUCK.
ENCYCLOPEDIA - But La Fontaine is not just an underground homosexual club. It is an underground homosexual club for those with deviant sexual appetites. You have heard that while it appears to be an ordinary club in the front, the back is lined with private rooms, fully equipped with all the carnal delights one could ask for.

Summary
Finn collects Fern's shredded body after his arm mishears him in his want to just go home together, and never one for reading is left ignorant of the grass blade's demon contract and its terms, unknowingly burying Fern alive. Fern reforms and takes off to the Nightosphere to find himself after being forced to confront what he is. The comic starts with him reappearing six years later, much to the annoyance of Huntress Wizard, Finn's casual hook up and confidant.
This uses stuff from Keep Yourself Redux but it's not required reading. The characters are the same though, they just branch off at different points.
