Summary
Toshimaru Tsukikage is an 18-year-old Scottish/Scotch Collie from Saitama, Japan, deeply passionate about soccer. His love for sports is shared with childhood friends Yuuichi, Shoichi, and Saya, making them the center of attention in their community.
However, a tragedy shatters Toshimaru's world when he learns about his mother's terminal illness. The news drastically changes his outlook on life, turning his once vibrant spirit into one of apathy. His transformation into a shadow of his former self is seen through his growing indifference towards the harsh realities of life, a coping mechanism against the looming loss.
The bright spark in Toshimaru's eyes is replaced by a consuming sadness as his mother's condition worsens. The dream-fueling hope that once propelled him on the soccer field diminishes, and the increasing responsibilities at home leave him little time for his previously defining passions.
Amidst the overwhelming brokenness, a glimmer of hope emerges when Toshimaru finds someone who profoundly understands his pain.
