Vulnerability was not something he could deal with. He didn’t do it as a child; why would he do it now? Masking the pain and the hurt was the only way to get through life. Looking closer at the celestial figure representing the Sun made something tug at his heart. When he had something like that, but that was ruined like everything else in his life, extinguished. He felt their eyes burning into him, peeling parts away with just a gaze, but he couldn’t be sure what parts they were seeing were the same as the way he saw himself.
