Megatron's optics turned crimson when he let Orion fall to his death. It was a physical manisfestation of his spark forever changing, warping into that of a monster's. Right?
I was trying to find a more probable reason for the change of Megatron's optic color. Something a bit more complicated than 'he turned evil'. (warbuild/seeker culture) -

Summary
Under the corrupted moonlight, they were no longer the infamous phantom thief and the mayor’s dutiful attendant. They were once again the wild, reckless pair of young Thirens under Jack’s tutelage, sprinting and soaring through the city slums, unburdened by titles or scars. Sometimes Hugo had chased Lycaon; sometimes Lycaon had chased Hugo. Other times, they’d switched halfway through just for the fun of it, laughing like fools the whole way.
“What’s wrong? Need to catch your breath, wolf boy?"
Lycaon gritted his teeth. The wolf part of him that was usually so tightly restrained, stirred at the taunt. No matter how hard he tried to smother it, that side of him had always responded instinctively to Hugo. Always Hugo. The blond Thiren apparently had a talent for pulling out the worst in him... or perhaps the most honest.

When an act of vengeance causes Lycaon to fear for his old friend’s life, he insists on becoming Mockingbird’s temporary ‘attendant’. But perhaps it was too naïve to think that he could re-enter his former partner’s life and simply… control himself.
After all… teasing his restraint has always been one of Hugo’s favourite pastimes.

Shi Qingxuan’s heart warms. He Xuan has become quite good at silencing his anxieties.
Feeling confident and light, Shi Qingxuan’s brows narrow playfully as he leans in with a small smile. Then, he teases “Does that include the master of this island?”
“...”
He Xuan raises his other hand and slowly brings it to Shi Qingxuan’s face, placing it softly on his cheek. His black nail ghosts over his face as his thumb caresses him.
Shi Qingxuan inhales sharply.
“What do you think?” He Xuan breathes.---
Or: Shi Qingxuan has returned to the Black Water Demon Lair at He Xuan’s request. They must work to heal from their shared past before they can advance their relationship. Feelings ensue. -
