Summary
Gustave's life couldn't get much better. He had loving parents, an entire opera house to play around in, free access to operas whenever he wanted, and a life cut off from the rest of the world. He loves to play around the opera house, and he loves his parents, but above all, he loves music. Until the very sounds that once brought him comfort are screaming in his ears, refusing to quiet, refusing to return to their normal volume and intensity, and his parents decide the only way to fix it is to take away music entirely.
So he keeps breaking rules, desperate to show his parents he doesn't need to be babied.
Aimee's life couldn't get much worse. Her grandmother had beaten her and deprived her all her life simply because of her face. A devil's face. But she deserved it. She really did. That's what she's always thought. It took running away, getting kidnapped by a freak show, mastering fire illusions, and escaping just to turn back and burn the place down to teach her otherwise. Now, she is never going to feel ashamed of her face again.
And she'll never give up her search for her uncle, the only one with a devil's face like hers.
Mostly 2004 with Kay's backstory and some of my own creation.

It wasn’t supposed to go this far. It was only supposed to last a second. He wasn’t supposed to grab her waist and pull her close and kiss her back like he was stranded in the desert and she was water. She wasn’t supposed to notice how perfect it felt, his lips on hers. She wasn’t supposed to think of every time she had ever kissed Raoul (which wasn’t a lot) and find that it couldn’t even compare to him.
Christine has been thrown around for so long. So long that she barely remembers the last time she got to think for herself. But now, for the first time in a long time, she knows exactly what she wants.
And she is not letting anybody get in her way.

This isn't going to go the way these phics normally do. I can't say much without spoiling it, but...brace yourself.
The rating may go up because of Erik's backstory. Also Meg may or may not end up punching Erik in the face.

Summary

I was forced to scrap this draft of Gustave's section of chapter 10 because it was only hurting the plot, but it was so cute and I had to share it with you guys. So here.
Basically, Gustave and Christine reminisce about that one time when he was three and he asked too many questions about Erik's mask.

Post-canon Son Of A Witch
Liir is left drifting, as always. His quest for Nor continues, still. As he wanders the streets of Emerald City, trying to grow into himself, he hears a familiar voice. Could it be?
Dorothy Gale, the murderer of his presumed mother, is back in Oz.

Dorothy is becoming a young woman. Setting off for the first time, journeying away from her house, and out into the world, she stops at an inn for food on the first night of her sojourn. By chance, she finds a trace of Oz left in Kansas.Now back in Oz, she finds a boy she never thought she'd see again.
Can Liir and Dorothy begin to heal each other? And, just maybe, can the small crush of a schoolchild be reignited into something more?
This fic is written in alternating POV, with Liir's perspective written in a voice imitating Maguire and Dorothy's written in a voice imitating Baum. As Liir shows Dorothy how to face her grief (I have this theory that Dorothy is so simple because she shut down all complex feelings and thoughts after her parents died to cope), and Dorothy shows Liir not to drown in his, the voices of each POV drift closer to one another, but never fully merge.

Summary
Three months after the events of the opera, Christine and Raoul try traveling somewhere sunny after Christine is diagnosed with hysteria. When they run afoul of a kidnap for ransom scheme, a would-be rescue results in all characters and some newcomers being stranded on a rock island.
Story told in flashbacks to the opera events, forced proximity on a tiny island, and imperial geopolitics.
Canon divergent backstories in some cases (Erik is very much not French, and no demonization of Persian or Romani cultures). Nonlinear retelling/deconstruction of Leroux scenes, including the mirror, Angel, unmasking, sideshow, and Persia. This story is preoccupied with how systems treat and often dehumanize people, and what humans can truly be when society is stripped away.
While this is very much “Erik and Christine are basically shared souls” they aren’t the only relationships that matter.
And secret, hidden quotes and clues to something, lots of religious and tarot references.

Summary
Following the Opera Populaire disaster, Erik leaves the world of music behind, disgraced and unwilling to move forward--until he receives an offer that tempts him to return to his first love.
Christine, uprooted from her life in the Opera House, chose to start over with her childhood sweetheart. With Erik gone, she must forget the past. Until Raoul is commanded by his surly uncle to manage a new business endeavor in Paris, which leads her back where she started.
Raoul wants nothing more than to marry the love of his life and start over, but a demand from his elderly uncle sends him back to Paris...and into a familiar scenario and an unlikely partnership that may or may not be what it seems.
Meg wants to prove she's more than Madame Giry's daughter and seeks an alliance from an unlikely source who wants the world to believe he is dead.
Chance encounters, past mistakes, and unlikely partnerships bring old friends together while also resurrecting bitter rivalries.
NOTE: this may not end up with E/C. I'm going with the overall flow of the story, not a concrete plot.

Summary
ALW post-canon. Raoul is able to give his wife everything — except for the one thing she wants most. Will a desperate situation cause his old rival to reenter their lives, changing it in ways they could never have imagined? Of course, or it wouldn't be a Phantom of the Opera story. Passion, angst, sex stuff, betrayal(?), True Love, revenge, messy relationships, but also kinda funny?? WIP with slow, but steady updates.
