Summary
When Steve left Montana he promised himself he wouldn't return unless someone died-- happy to leave that world behind him. He thought he'd have several decades before he was dragged back to the ranch he used to call home. But Sara died. His big sister-- bringing him back to the family.
His family was far from traditional. It wasn't any wonder that it took one of them dying in a freak accident to get them all in the same place again. If that wasn't distressing enough, it became clear Steve's father would need more help with Sara being gone, forcing him to stick around longer.
On top of it all, his childhood sweetheart's presence on the ranch was impossible to ignore. Steve knew if he wasn't careful, it'd be all too easy to fall into his arms and never leave. The only issue was, if Jonathan learned his secret, there was no way he'd want a thing to do with Steve.

Summary
They had been in a long distance relationship for months, where they had enjoyed a few sexy phone calls. But now they saw each other regularly and Eddie was starting to worry that Steve wasn’t ready for their relationship to become physical.
Which was fine! The last thing he wanted was Steve to feel pressured, and obviously he stopped when Steve pulled away from their makeout sessions.
But sometimes he wondered if maybe it was something else that was holding Steve back.

Steve Harrington has graduated, lost his crown, and lost his girlfriend. And after deciding he’s done hiding that he’s an omega...lost his parents’ support too. Now he’s spending his summer slinging ice cream at Starcourt Mall and trying to figure out what the hell comes next.
Eddie Munson is facing senior year for the third time next year, dreaming of getting Corroded Coffin out of Hawkins, and keeping the parts of himself this town wouldn’t understand carefully hidden.
They’ve spent years knowing of each other without ever really knowing each other.
Then again, stranger things have happened in Hawkins.

After Steve presents, the first time he smells Eddie Munson he slicks his pants so bad it looks like he pissed himself.
Eddie, unfortunately can’t smell anything because of a bloody nose, but it’s still obvious: that horny freshman is his scentmate.
