Summary
"What, still in the closet?" The question slips out, even as alarm bells start blaring in his head—
In a second, Sullivan is before him, crowding him against the wall. To anyone else, the scene might look ordinary, two guys about to kiss in a shadowy corner of a bar, but Cameron knows. Knows the anger in Sullivan’s eyes. The fear. Unfortunately for Sullivan, he’s no longer the weak little boy he was a decade ago.
He’s a fucking Marine now.
Cameron and Sullivan meet again, fourteen years later.

Summary
Buck is exhausted right down to the core of him, body aching from the last 48 hours of his shifts—his throat is bruised and sore, reducing his voice down to a hoarse whisper, and his ribs hurt from where he’d gotten knocked into a concrete barrier during a rescue, and his bad leg is throbbing so badly from the barometric pressure change that comes with the Santa Ana winds that he’s limping around his apartment. He wants to cry a little he’s so tired, and then there's a knock at his door and it's the last person he was expecting, and if he's honest with himself, the exact person he was yearning to see.

Summary
Arthur could hear the smile behind Dutch’s words. A part of him ached. “Why now?”
There was a mutual understanding of the question. Whenever they’d pondered about the relentlessness of the world, the why-nows, it was usually spent debating on what started the latest bar fight, why they can't go back to whichever town, or how did so-and-so get himself killed. Each time they concluded without a true answer. There was only moving on. When a minute passed and Dutch still sat silent, idly petting his right hand over his spine, it was clear that now was no exception. But unlike past circumstances, this moment carried with it an unfamiliar tenderness that Arthur had no idea where to bury.Dutch offers Arthur a back rub. It goes according to plan.

Summary
The first time Royce put the leftovers away quietly, turned off the TV, and gently shook his roommate’s massive shoulder, he figured it was an isolated act of humanity, Gwen rubbing off on him after all these years. “Hadrian,” he whispered. “Go to bed.”
“I fell asleep.”
Royce didn’t grace him with an 'I know.'Then it became a semi-regular thing. Do crimes, come home, put Hadrian’s leftovers in the fridge listening to the stupid ghost hunters, wake Hadrian, walk away, go to bed. Repeat.
