Summary
“I must go.” His voice was a whisper, voice aghast with what was coming for them.
Ilsaïre shook her head, tears falling from her eyes, “No,” she moaned, desperate. “No, please. Findil.”
“Ilsaïre,” he said, eyes softening even if they welled with tears of his own. “I love you.”
“I love you.” She leaned into his touch. Bells had begun to sound from all directions. So different from the gentle chimes of her library. So invasive. “Come back to me.”
-----
A romance that spans across ages. It all starts with a small, golden flower put atop a leather-bound book. Or perhaps it's the wine he offers her during the Midyear Feast. Or her name rolling off his tongue and the sparkle in his eyes whenever he smiles at her. At the very least, it all might just end in a city of ruin.

Summary
Lairë prided herself on being calculated and observant, but she had misjudged this entire situation. Nothing about this Oath was heroic. And while under Lord Arafinwë's banner she had trudged far behind the rest of the Noldo host, her beloved took part in the brutal slaying at Alqualondë.
This short story takes place after the first kin-slaying, and after having heard the Doom of Mandos.

There's nothing weird about it. You just really like giving private concerts in your bedroom. What's more weird is that the burglar trying to steal your television stays for ten minutes to listen to it. And then proceeds to ask you out for a date.

Summary
This is basically a bunch of dialogues between the reader and one of Bangtan’s members. There isn't really any romance; just finding comfort in talking to each other.
Slight angst, mainly comfort.

Summary
How did it come to this?
Loyal to her family, her lands and her people, Théadain, the illegitimate daughter of Théoden, King of Rohan, has little concern for the world that lies beyond her familiar grasslands. When all that she loves is threatened, she must risk the position she has fought long and hard to earn, plunging herself into a conflict she never sought. As she learns of the rising darkness in far off corners of her world, she begins to realise that her fate may lead her beyond the familiar, and may entwine with the fates of others in ways she could never have foreseen.
'Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? They have passed like rain on the mountain. Like wind in the meadow. The days have gone down in the West, behind the hills, into shadow...'

Summary
Let’s talk about a Susan who never moved on, who buried her family in English soil and spent the rest of her life trying to find her way home. She did not believe lions were kind, but she always remembered a bow in her schoolgirl hands.
She looked in every old wardrobe she came across. It was casual, everyday– the first day in a new lecture hall, she checked the back of the coat closet. Friends had her over for Christmas dinner and she excused herself to go the bathroom, checked every cabinet and closet, and then headed back in for pudding. She went home with a cute boy she met in a smoky little pub and she checked his wardrobe before she headed home the next morning, heels in hand.
She also went to college, got a political science degree she had to fight for. She got a byline in the local paper, a few ladies’ magazines, then a larger regional publication.
She had mimosa brunches with friends. She read detective novels, never touched fantasy, and finally one day she stepped through an old stone archway barely thinking about it and–-
She was standing in a treeless plain, all yellow grass and blue blue skies.

Summary
Kara is at the end of her nursing shift when a violent man is brought in with an arrow wound. When he spits blood on her, Kara is transported elsewhere. Soon she's doing emergency wound care on book characters and trying not to lose it. She can't watch people suffer even if it isn't real, but Aragorn is very suspicious of a woman who tells no clear story and smells like an orc.
“Stranger things have happened than you or I have years to tell of it," Gandalf said. "Why does she unsettle you? Surely you do not feel threatened. I am tolerably certain you could defeat her if it came to violence.”
Aragorn scoffed at his gentle humor. “I’m glad to amuse you. There are more dangers than warriors and swords. Need I tell a wizard that?"
“I can assure you she is not evil and has not a whisper of magic.”
“Yet a beautiful woman appears directly in our path, leagues from civilization, and immediately gains the hobbits’ trust. No wizardry, you say?”
Kara was not *unhappy* at being called a beautiful woman (although his standards for human women, as opposed to elves, were probably low), but she was unhappy to be stuck eavesdropping. She’d seen this scene too many times in movies. They would definitely see her.- Language:
