Summary
Change is on the horizon in the Land of Kitakami. Arven Veyanueva finds himself shunned by everyone in Mossui Town, including whom he thought was his only friend, Zeiyu Kubo. Meanwhile, Zeiyu is confronted by the falsified past of her home and what it means to be an outsider. The world broadens, the reclusive Kitakami no longer able to hold its inhabitants inside.
The third book in the Masked Scarlet series, an alternate Pokémon Scarlet timeline featuring Arven and DLC cast members including Carmine, Kieran, and Professor Turo. It is the fourth installation in the series, between the first interlude, ‘Paradise Lost’, and the fourth book, ‘No Matter How Far’.

"That when your mom...." Penny paused for a second, as if choosing her words carefully. "Got hurt....she fled through the time machine."
"And that means," Nemona gave Arven a big grin. "She might still be alive, somewhere!"
Arven felt his heart stop.
____________________When his friends discover a sign that Sada may have lived, Arven finds himself hopeful of another chance―a better future―with his mother.
And if he has to face feral bears, befriend a depressed train attendant, and witness as Penny introduces the people of Hisui to Undertale, well....those are risks he's willing to take.
OR: Arven struggles to let go of his mother, and realizes that those who truly care about him are much closer than he thought.
